Chameleon Song Swap – Parlor and Pecan Pie Social
Join us at the Chameleon Song Swap – Parlor and Pecan Social an afternoon of acoustic original folk and bluegrass with Peggy and Rachel.
Singer, songwriters Peggy Houlihan, on guitar, and Rachel Yeatts, on mandolin, will perform their original folk and bluegrass music swapping songs and accompanying one another. Join us for an afternoon of original Americana and cultural arts! Plus, there will be pecan pie and refreshments. You may also bring your own.
Peggy is a singer songwriter that performs in the North Central Texas Area. She has a goal of performing in “care facilities with my swap artists to share the love and provide community concerts in collaboration with Ghost Town Arts Collective, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. She is on the left above with the guitar.
Rachel has performed at several Ghost Town Arts Collective exhibitions and events, as well as in local songwriting listening rooms, and other performance venues. Rachel says, if she is “not playing in Texoma, and you like acoustic music, mountain music, and bluegrass, come to the square in Denton, Texas on Saturday mornings between 10 a.m. and noon to the jam, a real Denton treasure. Bring your instrument or just come to listen. I’ll see you there. “
Rachel performs with a trio and a duo!
- The trio, Blue GrassFire, including Rick Netherton on bass, Charlotte Ivy on guitar, and Rachel Yeatts on mandolin, gigs in the Denton and surrounding DFW area and would love to bring our two-part harmony and old-time music to your event. For our upcoming gigs, see the Shows page. See song samples on Video page.
- The duo, Red River Roses, features a smaller sound of down-home old-time and original songs. Charlotte Ivy plays guitar with me. Let us bring your intimate gatherings a taste of mountain home. See song sample on Video page.
