Have you ever seen a bright blue bird flying in the air? That was probably a beautiful bluebird. Eastern bluebirds visit Hagerman every spring and summer and there are many bluebird boxes all over the refuge ready for these visitors to build their nests in and lay their eggs in. Our youth Refuge Rocks program on March 16 is titled “A Home for the Bluebirds”. We’ll be learning about our resident bluebirds and the boxes that we provide for their homes along with making bluebird crafts and participating in fun games and activities. Come join us on March 16 for a free class to learn all about our bluebirds. To sign up – call the refuge at (903) 786-2826 or sign up on the web at www.friendsofhagerman.com.
