Even though beavers and river otters live in the same sort of habitats, they are completely different animals. They have very different bodies, different diets, and different roles in the ecosystem. Hagerman NWR is home to both animals who live side by side like neighbors who never say hello! Come out to the refuge to learn how these two neighbors live side by side while you’re making fun crafts and participating in games and activities. Come join us on August 17 for a free class to learn all about our beavers and river otters. To sign up – call the refuge at (903) 786-2826 or sign up on the web at www.friendsofhagerman.com.
